Just wanted to wish all my readers a very Merry Christmas! I will be heading back to Iowa soon to celebrate Christmas with family–and I will be gone for a few weeks. I will leave you with a music clip from one of my favorite singers. Enjoy & Merry Christmas!
More than a few entries back I had talked about a non-profit organization that provides lap quilts to children who are in hospitals long term. I decided to volunteer and make a quilt for this organization. A few weeks ago I received my quilt kit, from Quilts For Kids, which includes all the materials to make the quilt and a tag to put your name. After much cutting, ironing and sewing I finished my blanket. I thought I would share with you the finished project. I did learn a few lessons along the way about ironing and lining blocks up. Overall this was a great experience.
Christmas time is here! The house is decorated, the Christmas cards have been sent out, it surely is the most wonderful time of the year! Now, if only we will get some snow. Here’s one of my favorite pictures I took this past week of the pickle on our tree (its a German tradition to find the hidden pickle on the tree and this individual gets to open the first present).
I am kind of at a stand-still at developing my philosophy of education. This is my best representation of what I know and agree teaching America’s youth is all about. I am sure this document will change before I enter the realm of teaching. Enjoy for now!
